#70: Just Be Upset About It

Be Angry And Do Not Sin

Stop the drama in your life by discovering why we avoid negative emotions and how to feel them without acting on them.

We all have a tendency to avoid our negative emotions for fear of making everything worse. We think that if we give in to this feeling we will lose control and ruin our lives.

I talk to women all the time (and honestly I do this too) who would rather panic than feel scared. It's crazy that we would prefer rage to anger or despair to sadness.

Yet that's what we do.

In today's episode, I want to share with you a new perspective on your emotions and why it might be helpful for you to sit with those feeling for a minute.

The mental gymnastic we go through to avoid a perfectly healthy normal emotional experience, are endless. But it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, if you will simply allow yourself to feel a negative emotion and be upset you will bounce back to your regular self.

So today, we're going to talk about the dangers of avoiding negative emotions and what to do instead. If you don't like feeling scared, angry, lonely, sad, or discouraged then this episode is for you!
