Between the pandemic, a long-distance marriage, medical issues, financial challenges, and a host of other challenges, it's been a rough 24 months. Honestly, I've felt depleted.
But one thing I've learned to do is pause. Not quit, not give up. Just pause.
Giving myself the time and space I need to recover along the way has allowed me to keep going, creating, and coaching. Let me share with you some of the setbacks I've experienced so that you know that you're not alone and there are ways to move forward. I want to show you how I'm managing my thoughts around failure so that they don't prevent me from having success in the year to come.
As we wrap up the year and prepare for the next, I'm here to help you get closure and experience confidence despite the disappointments you've endured.
In this episode, I will share some of my failures, why I'm reframing them, and how you can borrow and apply these strategies to your own life.
I'll tell you about my disappointments, which include not writing my book, not taking a vacation, not hosting a retreat, and failing miserably at my financial goals. You'll even hear about our most recent disaster, which involved losing at least 50% of our tomato plants during a rainstorm.
Despite the pain I've felt in the midst of these epic failures and disappointments, I want you to know that these experiences are not meant to be avoided. There is a way to move forward with grit and grace that will help you succeed no matter what.
One more thing, I am humbled and deeply grateful for all the support I've received with regard to the energy crisis here in Zimbabwe. I am thrilled to report that we have purchased our first solar panel and an extra battery that will allow me to keep the internet and lights on.
If you are in a position to do so and would like to support my work by helping me keep the lights on, you can contribute here>>>
